I'm back, baby! Here is version One of my Romantic Series: Autumn Leaves. I could have spent more time on the details, but perhaps it would be better this way. The development of this painting is shown below.

WIP - Updates November 4, 2011: I experimented with using different brush settings while working on her face and shoulder. In the end, I kind of figured out how to render her skin tone without using the airbrush tool. It seemed to take much longer to paint this way than the way I usually do, so I decided to continue later on.
WIP - Updates October 31, 2011: Starting to ad lib the background. At this stage, not one area is finished. Instead, I work on the composition of the whole painting first before zeroing in any particular areas. The bright colors are introduced to light up the whole painting, but they will stay abstract to the end. The tree barks are also added to create an anchor point for her face.
I work this piece slowly and will make her face stand out more and more as I progress...
WIP - Updates October 30, 2011: Working on the hair (incomplete yet) with a new style using a built-in brush. My homemade favorite brush usually gives a painterly feel to the painting. This new built-in brush will give more of a photographic feel in the final painting.
