So I have this crazy and daring idea of offering advice/suggestions to artists on DA!

My dear friend asked that I describe the process of choosing colors in my painting. In order to have some specific example to illustrate, we chose this painting 'Gaolst'.

Needless to say, I love Gaolst and her work, so I am happy to start this conversation.
