November 24, 2012 - Evening

I decided to work on the painting a little more to a point that I can be happy with. Then, I stopped, just so I could have another WIP in the process, for future reference of my painting approach. At the end of this step, I started to feel a strong connection between myself and my model - it is a delicate, yet beautiful human connection that makes painting portraits so enjoyable. It is almost like falling in love, or something like that. Weird, you said?! I know, right! But must the heart have a reason? I think not...

My computer died several weeks ago. Since then, I've been using another computer which does not handle my tablet very well. As a result, I could not make any portraits at all -- the tablet pen just jumped around randomly, so it had been difficult to make any accurate brush stroke at all! That is why you guys see me making a bunch of polls and shit. Until now, that is...

In desperation, I looked around and found a new set of drivers for my tablet, and installed it on the computer. So far, so good. I now am able to control the tablet pen accurately enough to attempt painting again.

And so I did...
